The LASER Level 3 Award in Interpreting and Advocacy in the Community has been designed for learners who have skills in more than one language and who want to use their linguistic skills to provide language support in a variety of community settings, including Housing, Immigration, Social Care, Education and Healthcare. The Total Qualification Time (TQT) is 120 hours, with recommended number of guided learning hours of 84 hours. Learners are assessed in terms of whether they have met the assessment criteria specified in the units of assessment. Two pathways are available which contain a shared mandatory unit. The two pathways are:
- Community Interpreting
- Bilingual Advocacy
